Spooky experience sparks ghost hobby
PERSONAL experiences with the paranormal encouraged Kylie Samuels and Katie Harvey to start exploring the supernatural.
The paranormal investigators created a Facebook page called Toowoomba Ghost Chasers, dedicated to their bizarre findings.
Over the past couple of years, more than 100 Toowoomba residents have contacted the paranormal investigators requesting them to look into weird occurrences.
Ms Harvey said she tried to keep an open mind when conducting an investigation.
"I had a few funny ghostly experiences as a child, but I was never frightened. I was always more fascinated," Ms Harvey said.
"I like to think I am a realist, but the one thing that seals a deal for me is when we are doing an investigation and my shirt gets pulled on from behind or I feel somebody touch me.

"It is the physical elements that get me.
"It also sends a chill down my spine when we are sitting in a house with our equipment and we pick up a child's voice," she said.
"There are so many historical landmarks in Toowoomba, but from the stories people have sent us it is obvious that a paranormal occurrence can happen anywhere," Ms Samuels said.
"It's incredible the stories that people have to tell.
"You will always get the people who don't believe, but we have converted many sceptics by sharing our experiences," she said.
Last week, the pair uploaded a video of a "ghost" in Toowoomba which went viral and since then they have received several requests from people asking if they could come along to investigations.
The Toowoomba Ghost Chasers are inviting people to join them for a spooky meet and greet at Drayton Cemetery on Saturday at 2pm.
