Shaxson stars with five touchdowns

JOSH Shaxson had a field night, touching down five times to spearhead Panthers to an 11-2 victory over Tigers when Bundaberg Junior fixtures finally resumed after the Christmas recess last Friday.

Action had been set to resume a week earlier but while that program was cancelled due to rain, players quickly found their touch and turned it on.

Panthers produced the biggest win of the evening, with Matthew Pozzebon also in the thick of things with four touchdowns.

Matt Williams also bagged four for Billabong in their open boys Division 2 showdown with Ripcurl although it was not enough as they were edged out 7-6, but another four of the best by Will Hamilton led Ducks to an 8-3 win over Wombats in the 2004 mixed division.
