Sharks still going nuts over Manuofeta's 10-year ban
SOUTH Kolan have one more chance to have Ikuna Manuofeta's suspension for striking a referee over turned.
An appeal was heard by the Central Region of the Queensland Rugby League (QRL) and the 10-year ban was reduced to five, South Kolan coach Dean Akers informed the NewsMail another appeal will be lodged with the QRL this week.
Manuofeta was booked three times in the game against Avondale on July 13, the most severe charge was striking a referee, and there was also a shoulder charge and squirrel grip.
The penalty for the shoulder charge was dismissed because of an incorrect process in the way the offence was dealt with, but the guilty verdict on the squirrel grip stands.
