THE late Alan Sherlock has been remembered in Queensland Parliament as a passionate advocate for young Queenslanders and his community.

The Rockhampton born and raised former politician died on December 11, 2016. Mr Sherlock represented the Liberal Party in the Brisbane-based Ashgrove electorate from 1986-1989.

He was a successful pharmacist and passionate supporter of the Scouts movement.
