Ride and drive side by side
WHILE politicians debate the feasibility of bike licenses, Grafton Cycle Club president John Harrison has provided some tips for both motorists and cyclists to stay safe while sharing the road.
Mr Harrison said a lot of it came down to common sense and a bit of patience from both road users.
"If you see cyclist, back off, assess situation and pass safely," he said.
"It only takes a second of your day. It's not like we are going to hold you up for an hour. We will only hold you up for a couple seconds max.
"We're just people trying to get some exercise and our form of exercise is riding bike."
Mr Harrison urged both motorists and cyclists to follow tips on how to share the road safely.
