Paw paw leaf tea one of new products being developed

JANETTE McArthur grew up observing and helping her father, Tom McArthur, experiment with various fruits and vegetables and has now developed her own range of face and body care products using one of his patented formulas.

Well known in Australia as the Paw Paw Man, Tom McArthur began experimenting with paw paw in the jungles of Malaya whilst serving in the British Army and later patented one of his inventions.

Janette McArthur Face & Body Care products contain a bio-active extract derived from the inner flesh of paw paw fruit.

The extract is manufactured from carefully sourced Queensland paw paw using Tom's patented method to "activate" the fruit, and has remarkable cosmetic properties.

Janette has a clear vision of what she hopes to achieve with her new company.

"We are planning to introduce products containing different extracts from other fruit and vegetables which also have beneficial properties," she said.

Janette also intends to market a tea that she is developing from the leaves of the paw paw plant.

The McArthur family are synonymous with paw paw.

"The extracts invented by my dad include the patented OPAL technology, which was named by my mother Lynda.

"Growing up I knew what dad invented was very special and I am very excited about sharing his inventions with people around the world," she said.

"Janette McArthur Face & Body Care has been established to introduce a new range of products based on dad's OPAL technology and inspired by 30 years of McArthur experience and success."

The initial range of Janette McArthur Face & Body Care includes body cream, face cream, body wash, shampoo and conditioner.

Like her father, Janette is hands on in the business and is just as at home on the factory floor inspecting the paw paw as talking to customers.

Janette McArthur products are available online at www.janettemcarthur.com and shortly through a wide range of stockists.
