ACROSS The Waves opening batsman Callum Stitt might have been put under pressure by some short balls from Norths spearhead Boyd Williams in the Division 1 one-day game at Kendalls Flat but he got the best revenge possible in his team's 46-run win.
Stitt made a handy 27 runs before he was caught by Kye Leggett off the bowling of Dylan Blackman despite Williams's attempts to rattle him, in return Stitt took the wickets of Todd Sommerfeld and Ashley Williams with his first two deliveries.
Chasing ATW's 224 from 45 overs Norths endured a Courtney Murray maiden over to start its innings before Stitt struck.
Sommerfeld was caught by Sean Stuchbery off Stitt first ball by Stitt and Ashley Williams was trapped leg before wicket the next ball to hamper Norths' run chase.
Stitt didn't claim any more wickets for the game, but the two he took in two balls set up the win. Adding to Stitt's performance was the continued good form of all-rounder Brendan Prossliner in his return season to Div 1.
Prossliner belted a quick-fire 41 from 36 balls batting at number three and then was the leading wicket taker for ATW with 4-29 from 7.1 overs. Matthew Gauld was the leading runs scorer for ATW with 42 from 29 balls, which included five fours and a six.
