Movember is over

BUNDABERG'S Peter White shaved the hair off his upper lip yesterday in a reverse Movember fundraiser.

Instead of growing a moustache, he shaved his 55-year-old mo off.

There are a lot of men and women raising funds and awareness for men's health issues in November, it's a good thing.

As most of you know men seem to fly under the cancer radar and don't go to the doctor until it's too late.

There is this, "It won't happen to me attitude."

That's why Movember is so good.

Its fun, raises money and most importantly can save lives by getting men to go to the doctor for a check up.

I must confess I was impressed with Peter's effort because I wouldn't shave my mo for charity.

While I'm happy to donate to the cause and spread the word about men's health my mo is staying right where it is.

It's a special thing, and it's quite attached to me, but what I will do is go along to the doctor and have a check up.

At 46 I'm told it's time to have the prostate checked.
