Booking in for a fun week of reading
BOOK worms were out in force as local schools celebrated Book Week.
Each year, many schools and public libraries across Australia spend a week celebrating books and Australian authors and illustrators.
Childers State School was no exception.
The school held a Books on Blankets day.
This involved everyone from students to teachers dressing in their favourite pyjamas - some of them like animal costumes - and older students spending some time reading with the younger students.
The day highlighted the importance of reading and encouraged children to pick up a good book.
