JB Hi-Fis grand opening today

BUNDY shoppers will have a big reason to smile at 9am today when JB Hi-Fi opens its doors at Sugarland Shoppingtown for the first time.

Store manager Nathan Patterson said the store's new staff members had been working flat out to get the electronics store ready in time for today's grand opening.

"A lot of people are excited we're in town," Mr Patterson said.

"Everyone has been working really hard to get things ready."

Mr Patterson said the store, which is taking up part of the space vacated by Cornett's IGA, would put on some big opening sales.

"Everyone has been really excited and supportive," he said.

"It's surprising to see the support we're getting."

The store manager said almost 30 people had been hired to run the shop.

"We've got 29 staff members working full time, part time and one casually," he said.

"We'll have everyone working (today) to make sure we've got enough people on."

Mr Patterson said the store would place a strong focus on providing good customer service.

He said JB Hi-Fi was excited to open a store in the region.

"They were just waiting for a shop to become vacant in town," he said.
