Expo focuses on healthy life

BUNDABERG businesses will have their services highlighted at the weekend for the annual Healthy Life, Home and Community Expo.

The expo started in 2008 and, according to co-ordinator Monica Fraser, showcases businesses, clubs, organisations and hobbies to the local and outlying communities.

"It is a great event for people to meet in a friendly environment and for local businesses to show off what they can offer," she said.

Bundaberg City Daybreak Rotary Club is the vehicle behind the expo and has this year decided to focus on the current healthy living trend.

Up to 35 exhibitors will showcase their products in food, health, home living, childcare, and more.

"Life Education will visit with their mascot Healthy Harold and we will also have a Kids Zone for 3-11 years and a Youth Zone for the 12-17 years," Ms Fraser said.

The 2015 expo will be held tomorrow from 9 am to 6pm and Sunday from 9am to 4pm at the Bundaberg Recreational Precinct, University Dr.

Entry is $2.

"As a Rotary project funds raised from the 2015 Healthy Life Home and Community Expo will be distributed to Bundaberg Sailability," Ms Fraser said.
