Council helps with Rocky cyclone clean-up
FOUR staff from the Bundaberg Regional Council's parks and gardens team will head to Rockhampton early on Monday morning to assist in the clean-up effort following Tropical Cyclone Marcia.
The Bundaberg Regional Council is responding to a call for assistance from Rockhampton Regional Council to deal with an overwhelming number of downed trees and general damage to the area.
Staff will be leaving Bundaberg for Rockhampton with a truck, chipper, chainsaws and equipment to assist in the area for a week.
Staff will be joined by local contractor Bundy Mulch and Chip with a crew of three.
