Not Now Darling... play opens tomorrow

FINAL touches are being made to the upmarket fur salon of Bodley, Bodley and Crouch, the fictional setting for the hysterical Ray Cooney and John Chapman farce Not Now Darling, which opens at the Playhouse Theatre tomorrow at 7.30pm.

Audiences are guaranteed a good belly laugh as they witness the crazy antics of Shaun Norden, Di Wills, Rhonda Cutmore, Nigel Dick, Laura Wilson, Ray Sinnamon, Traci Thornton, Lina Wagner, Daniel Hand, Tony McGovern and Shalyn Knight.

Director Tracey Shears is excited about staging the comedy in the 1960s, so costuming is proving to be lots of fun as well.

Many theatre reviewers of the past have referred to Not Now Darling as "solid and unpretentious entertainment".

It was written in 1967, but the premise of making the audience laugh remains its main and easily achievable objective.

Make sure you mark your calendars for this crazy night out.

Performances will be held on August 21, 22, 28 and 29 at 7.30pm with a Sunday matinee on August 23 at 3pm.

Tickets can be purchased online by visiting or at the theatre box office each Saturday and Sunday from 9am-noon.
