Come one, come all, it's tea time again

IT'S time, once again, to get 'tea-ed' up with the QCWA Burnett Division as they host Bundy's Biggest Morning Tea along with Member for Burnett Stephen Bennett.

The fourth annual and highly-anticipated morning tea, to be held on Wednesday, May 23, and will feature home baked goods, tea, coffee, guest speakers, entertainment and raffles.

About 90 people were expected to attend and raise funds for Cancer Council Queensland, including Bundaberg MP David Batt.

Mr Bennett called on the community to come along and unite for a cuppa to make a difference in the fight against cancer.

"Cancer touches the lives of many, including thousands of people in our region, so please gather your friends to help us raise funds to ensure the Cancer Council can continue its vital work of providing support for those affected,” Mr Bennett said.

"I'm looking forward to joining the QCWA ladies and the community once more as we raise funds to help beat cancer.

"We managed to raise $1600 at last year's event, which was fantastic! We are hoping to make this year's Bundy's Biggest Morning tea even bigger and better.”

All funds raised through the morning tea help support more than 1630 people in the Wide Bay Burnett diagnosed with cancer each year.

Entry is $5 per person and includes morning tea and a lucky door prize ticket.

Tickets can be purchased at the doors which open at 9.30am for a 10am start on May 23.
