CHIQUITA'S Fashion in the main street of Bundaberg aren't giving up just yet.
The NewsMail reported the womenswear store had packed up its closet a little too early.
Owner Jean Gahan said the business was closing down, but remained open while stock was still available.
The business had been standing strong for three and half decades, but it was time for Mrs Gahan to retire.
She said there was still plenty of casual styled dresses, skirts and tops left, inviting women to come in and have a look.
"We used to have formal clothing,” she said.
"But that's all gone now and everything left is 70-80 percent off now.”
In the years of operating out of the CBD, Mrs Gahan said there were many repeat customers, even people from out of town would return time after time.
Mrs Gahan and her husband own the site of the store and are looking for someone with a keen eye for business to step in and purchase or lease it.
She said it was prime real estate and would suit just about any style of shop.
Chiquita's remains open, until the stock is gone, 10am - 3pm Monday to Friday and 10am - 1pm on Saturdays.
Anyone interested in the business could see Mrs Gahan in store at these times.
