Buxton store pair ready to make move

AFTER 11 years of loyal service to the Buxton community, convenience store owners Terry and Yvonne Mitchell are putting their feet up.

The Buxton General Store owners, who bought the store in 2003, now have their small business up for sale.

Tragedy struck the couple in November last year when their son, Brendan, passed away.

It has put life into perspective for the Mitchells, who are looking to move on and make the most of their lives.

While they have enjoyed their work in Buxton, they hope to travel around Australia and spend time with family.

"We're over our 60s now so it's time for some relaxation," Mr Mitchell said.

"We'd like to thank the community for their support over the years and wish them all the best in the new year.

"We loved working here - it's a great community."

It won't be the last you see of the Mitchells though.

The couple have property in Buxton and plan to reside in the area while enjoying a well-deserved break.
