Bunnings for booze comes to the Sunshine Coast

Maroochydore will be home to Queensland's first Liquor Market, which is set to open on Saturday.

Liquor Market has a simple warehouse or market feel - much like a Bunnings for booze.

The aim is to keep it simple and keep costs low, so the customer pay less.

There's also a focus on providing regular in-store events for customer to enjoy, including tastings, events, and masterclasses to offer tips and tricks to people across the Coast.

A Liquor Market spokeswoman said the store would bring low cost drinks and high quality expertise to the Sunshine Coast.

"Liquor Market offers customers market-leading value on an amazing array of quality wines, beers and spirits by using a low-cost operating model to pass on savings to consumers," she said.

"Customers will find a hand-selected, unique and interesting range of wines, beers and spirits, which have been sourced from some of the best producers across Australia and around the world.

"The store will have a jam-packed events schedule, offering free masterclasses, in-store tastings and meet the maker events, to share the stories behind the fantastic products we sell."
