'Strategy Dave' backs Ryan to win Big Brother

BIG Brother's most unapologetic game player David Hodis was evicted tonight.

The Sydney radiologist, nicknamed "Strategy Dave" by his fellow housemates, received less public support than Adelaide teacher Priya Malik and grand final favourites Ryan Ginns and Skye Wheatley.

"I believe I played myself, but when the opportunity arose you have to play the game," Hodis told host Sonia Kruger.

"I got christened with it (Strategy Dave), so I played up to it a little bit."

His rival Priya was relieved to outlast Hodis and make it to the final week of the show.

"We are so alike and that is why we clash heads all the time," he said.

Hodis originally entered the house with Sandra Nixon and didn't hit his stride until last year's winner Tim Dormer visited the house and gave him some words of wisdom.

He laughed off the revelation that his super-fan Chloe was fictional.

"I am devo'd (devastated)," he said.

"I had a date set up at the Rose Hotel in Chippendale."

Kruger then revealed that even though "Chloe" was a competition winner, she did have "the hots" for him.

He backed Sunshine Coast-raised surfer and graphic designer Ryan to win the show.

"He is the most genuine guy you'll ever meet," he said.

"He's going places that guy.

"I can't wait to drink beers with him on the outside."

It was also revealed tonight that all votes going forward will count towards the finalists' tallies.

Three housemates will be evicted next Tuesday night.
