Barron premiere raising for Relay

HE'S Australia's funny man and if you've been itching for an opportunity to see Carl Barron on the big screen, then don't miss Bundaberg's premiere of Manny Lewis at the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre on Thursday night.

Bundaberg Regional Council's staff Relay for Life team organiser Robyn Silcox said she had no doubt many residents would enjoy the screening of Barron's first movie.

"He has always been really popular in Bundaberg which is why the team was so ecstatic to secure Bundaberg's premiere screening," she said.

"People can come along to see a movie that is almost guaranteed to be hilarious, and better yet, all of the funds raised from the movie will go towards the Cancer Council Queensland."

Tickets are $18 and include a glass of wine and nibblies.

Manny Lewis is about a lonely comedian who, at the height of his career, finds something is missing in his life and sets out on a quest to find love.

Barron encouraged fans to see the movie.

"Come and see my movie and help raise money for a great cause, because you're only going to spend it on meat pies and chockie milks anyway," he said.

Tickets can be purchased from the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre.
