An opera about the 2011 floods will show in Bundaberg

FLOODS is a travelling Queensland contemporary opera, commissioned by Queensland Conservatorium.

It was inspired by the courage and resilience of those who lived through the devastating flood of 2011, which had three quarters of Queensland declared a disaster zone.

Presented in four short works by Queensland composers from diverse musical backgrounds, this innovative production is an evocative homage to the triumph of human nature in the face of adversity.

The opera will play at the Moncrieff Theatre on Saturday, October 4, at 7.30pm.
